I've completed a public demo of Dawnshadow, the game I've been working on. After a lifetime of half-hearted service to the god of darkness and monsters, Sai wakes up to find himself spirited away to the Eternal Nightmare's own realm.
Dawnshadow is styled after the old Dragon Warrior games. The first area is largely complete and enough systems are in place to make it feel solid. It's still not as clean as I'd like, but it's to the point where it needs eyes not mine on it to catch those things I cannot. I estimate 30 - 60 minutes of play time will clear all developed content. The current, tentative plan is to have it finished by late this year.
I tried to upload it and a gallery here, but... well, there's something comfortingly familiar about those things that never change. Until that's all straightened out, you can grab a copy from Dropbox here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/52g1ucp36vzomc7/eosds.zip?dl=0
(Use the Download link at the upper right to grab the whole zip file.)
WARNING: There's a bug I can't track down that occasionally destroys the standard autosaves. You can force a hard save by sleeping in a bed or trying to open the (non-existent) Records section of the journal.
