My computer has been doing something really crappy. It happened right around when I started working on Verge 3 stuff, but I don't think that's the cause. I bet it is that .NET, which I got at the same time...

Anyways, after it has been on for a while and run a few programs, if I use any program to try to access "my computer" or "desktop" it gets the program stuck and eventually crashes the program. I don't have any problem accessing those using Explorer, but if I use something like Photoshop or Textpad and go to "save" or "load", it will have this problem.

Have you rebooted?

Many many times. This has been happening since the day I downloaded V3 and started using it. Just today, I was doing Photoshop work, and had no problems at all passing through "my computer" while finding the folder to load a file from - did it quite a few times. I just ran V3 about 5 minutes ago. I went to upload a file to this site, and when I went to browse for the file, I unfortunately had to navigate through "my computer" to get to the file, and it locked up. I had to reboot.

Are you running win9x by any chance?

I've had nothing but trouble from .NET on pre-NT windows.

The best thing I can think of is:

A. Check for spyware, use "Adaware" and "spybot- search and destroy"

B. Make sure your OS is patched using windows update

C. Make sure your .net is 1.1 (not sure if this really matters)

E. what the hell happened to D?
