Regardless of my rather shakey financial position, I bought Donkey Konga yesterday. This game ROCKS. Bizzare as it may seem, hitting bongos and clapping like an idiot is ridiculously fun: I'm frankly amazed something so simple is so appealing. I'm even getting GOOD at it.
Anyone else indulging in some monkey business?

I haven't played it at all, but I've heard it's loadsa fun at 'get drunk and wasted' type parties.

It's hideously addictive and even the people who will initially laugh as you bongo away will be seduced by its charms. Great for house parties and 'there's nothing on TV and all the pubs are shut' moments.

This game is hard on Chimp mode. Which is apparently medium difficulty. It's also easy to get carried away, but I'm not sure if I could play it for days on end--I mean, it's like DDR with just three buttons.
There's something addictive about it, and I'm sure the multiplayer is great, but I'm not sure I'll be buying it.

'Monkey' is quite easy after a while, 'Chimp' is fairly challenging and 'Gorilla'... Argh! Still, you're right in thinking it's best in short bursts and at parties. there's only so far you can go with banging and clapping.

I work at a videogame store, so I play Donkey Konga all the time. I challenge my co-workers, and people that come into our store! :D
My favorite song to do it on is Whip It! That game is awesome. But my boss likes to put it on the Pokemon theme song because I know the words for some reason, and I cant NOT sing them. Cruelty!!

All the tunes are country-specific, sadly. It would have been nice of them to simply divide the lot up into categories and dump the whole lot onto every disc but sadly not.
The UK version of Donkey Kong comes with a couple of Supergrass tracks, some Jamiroqai (God knows whether I spelt that correctly, bloody cretins..), 'Loiue Loiue,' the Queen track 'Don't Stop Me Now,' 99 Red Balloons, September and a selection of other stuff.
