Has anyone ever heard of this programming group/brand? They had games and notes about Sliders. I saw their page a couple of times, but couldn't download it then. Now the only emperorsoft that shows up in google is a different one. edit... This was written in haste, and nobody knows, maybe, or nobody noticed. I think there was indication that they weren't expecting to have time to do much as Emperorsoft in the future. Such is isolation... Isolated individuals note another's passing, and nobody can help reinforce the memory.

Edits don't show up for 'last post'. So, I'm replying to my own post.. for no reason.. lonely.... If I may quote, without any reason, 'Self-improvement is masturbation. Now, self destruction . . . '.

No, not them. I can't read Japanese, for one thing. I don't know why I thought anyone else would recognize the name, and I may have gotten it wrong, too. Thanks for taking a look about, but I think I did a pretty intensive google search. OK, I didn't look around on that site, but I looked at the page you linked to. The quote is from Fight Club. The source was as arbitrary as the quote.

Wrong sliders, sir. 'Sliders' (maybe the quotation marks will make this clearer) was a TV show where the group has this thing with the dimensions of a bundle of 2 or 3 TV remotes that opens wormholes to let them go to alternate realities. What drove the general story was that they had not figured out how to get home before they started on their way.

Sir, by calling one another sir at all times, members of (at least) Project Mayhem identify one another in the wide world, Sir. (more Fight Club).

Allright, I found it myself. What vanishes may reappear. I just looked on google, and there it was (nearly--it was linked to.) I think I've got it now: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/emperor_johnson/Sliders.htm .
I don't want to look for a main page; I can get around with the links at the bottom. Yay. yhnmzwcs off.

Google actually found this site, which got me close enough to where I wanted to get.

Good grief, I actually may have heard of Emperor soft. They're one of those highschool delusions-of-grandeur programming 'companies' that hang around Games Creation Systems like ZZT and MegaZeux. I should know, I used to run one.
I used to do ZZT before moving on to MegaZeux, then Ika and finally settling comfortably in the VERGE community (where I plan on staying put). I dabbled a bit in AGS (Adventure Games Studio) and TADS (Text Adventure Design System) too.

Yeah, delusion... that would describe some of the site. If anyone's ever looked at zhq (I have some links to it on a thread in the art fora) (now http://www.zhq2.com), I think you might agree that the old one may have an advantage. (SO MANY LARGE IMAGES...)
