I have the urge to discuss random topics and swap things.
So, what's everyone's current favourite radio station? Mine used to be Virgin Radio (http://www.virginradio.co.uk/) but right now it's Oxfordshire's local Jack FM. Why? Well, apart from playing some pretty serviceable music, the voice of the station is none other than Avon out of Blake's 7, Paul Darrow! The man a voice with such a deliciously evil undercurrent that you hang on his every word. Truly brilliant. Give it a go: http://www.jackfm.co.uk/

I've never seen Blake's 7. Or Space 1999 for that matter.
Also: When are we gonna see a new demo from int22, int? :D

Blake's 7: this you should see. Very schlocky, but pretty good for it's time, plus the ending is gloriously unhappy. It's grand finale was first aired on Christmas, way back in the eighties. The end is so deeply sad that the last episode's writer recieved a lot of letters from people complained that it had ruined their Christmas.
As for demos? Well, relax: I *am* working on something. Alexandiir and I are collaborating on something (shock!) and have spent the last few months writing out a detailed synopsis / script and writing code for it. It's a pseudo steam-punk comedy horror.
It has a name, but for reasons involving my delight at seeing people on tenterhooks, I am withholding it. Hah!
Oh yes.

God no: team The Dead of Old Albion really wouldn't be able to maintain a steady enough pace. At the moment, our speed of work varies far too much: some weeks we'll have several revisions of the code and two versions of the synopsis. Others, we'll have bugger all. If we can pull together some sort of schedule then *maybe* we could join the challenge. Otherwise, no.
"More brain, Vicar?"

Joining might be good in order to speed things up a bit... I mean, it must be approaching a year since we started on this, and we don't even have an in-game screenshot to show for it (admittedly my fault), so maybe we should.
My favourite radio station is BBC Radio Suffolk. Not because it's good, but because it's the only one I listen to, foisted on me every day at work. It's everything that you'd expect a naff local radio station to be, but at the same time so much less. The frightening this is, it's won awards.

Point, but most times we'd only have some new snippets from the synopsis to show off at the moment. Mind you, I feel our work in that department drawing to a close at the moment.
Ideally, we want to be churning out a hell of a lot more art than we're doing right now. Getting the real-time battle system to do much more than point the zombie hordes in the player's general direction should take a back seat until we've got some complete levels down.
Ok, McGrue: give us a week to do some housekeeping, set up a website etc. and we'll join the Gruedorf.
HAPPY NOW?!

Arrgh! Having given it a bit more thought, I've changed my mind. I think this going to mean a heavier work schedule than I'm going to be able to maintain.. and I don't think working on the script, as we have been doing, really counts towards it. It's not something we can show after all. So if we're going to join, let's do it after we've finished on that side of things.

Will somebody make up their bloody mind?! ARGH! I just spent the last couple of hours setting up a blog!
And of course we can show off the script, just so long as we don't go posting crucial plot points or anything along those lines. Besides, I'm sure we can start churning out some character art, you can post the odd bit of music you're working on. That sort of thing.
I'm sure there are going to be slow weeks but we could probably post some sketches, design notes etc. in a hurry.

Ok. Alex and I have had a chat. We've decided to go half-way. While there will be NO subscribing to Gruedorf, we WILL be unveiling a blog soon with details of what we're up to.
The basics behind this are that we're unlikely to keep pace with Gruedorf, but the blog should help keep the project organised and provide some decent feedback if we need it.
So there. I'm working on the blog now. Honest. See? *tap *tap* *tap*, *click*.

Ok, nearly done with the prep. The blog will be open to all soon. Currently, you can also read my inane ramblings on my NEW blog I started a few days ago: I have a LiveJournal account that I haven't used in ages. Since discovering blogspot is actually far better, I've moved over to that. The link is in my sig.
