Yeah, so as of March 28, 2005, I am now 17 years of age. I got some nice clothing (Nintendo Rehabilitation Clinic, a shirt with Mario and Luigi running from a Bob-Bomb, nice new jeans), PEZ candy, pens, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (not near as bad as people make it to be, and I actually like the cel-shaded art style), lots of moneys with which to buy more stuff (Over $160 allotted, which *is* a lot in a poor man's eyes). Tonight I'm going to have some ice cream cake and some Chinese food! Hooray, oh yes, and it's Easter. Fun fun fun.

So, anyone wanting to wish me a happy birthday can do so now. Remember, March is the month where the majority of cool people are born, me included of course. Rockin'.

uh, happy birthday. Yea. Being 17 isn't that bad because it's so close to 18! (from a 17-yr old to another)

Happy birthday, Overkill! Hope you're having a great time. I'm 21 soon (May 1st) and hope to be getting my hands on a Nintendo DS at last (yay).

Wind Waker's actually pretty cool. Most of the complainers were the sort of people who thought change was a bad thing, no matter how little it actually affected the core values of the game. It rocked and I completed it: you'll love the ending.

Thanks, guys. I love the endings of most games anyways, so I doubt a Zelda game will dissappoint me! With the money I accumulated, I bought Paper Mario 2 as well as Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. There went about $100, but it was worth it. These two are both great games, and both of them I can continue from files I made when I rented each of these. I can safely say I'm fairly satisfied console-gaming wise right now. Metroid Prime 2 seems to be way better than its precursor for some reason. I could safely say the same for Paper Mario 2.

Anyway, the Chinese food's here, gotta run!

And Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday!

17...that was a good year. Where'd it go...? Well, 18 isn't really that bad, I guess...

When I was seventeen... it was a very good year, for small town girls...

Ah lore, such a fine and selfless samaritan.

Happy birthday Ovk! I shall join you on April 20th, and we shall commence our plans for... getting into R-rated movies? :(

loretian: You sound like you were quite the player back in the day. Damn my utter lack of charisma and outgoingness in real life. D:

troupe: ;__;

Heh, is it just me, or are the US's movie ratings almost exaggerated? I mean, a ton of movies rated R in the states are something low like PG in Canada. I mean, the last movie I recall that got an R rating here was 'Freddy got Fingered', which looked really retarded and unworth watching anyway. Maybe *I'm* just exaggerating, but... you know.

When I was twenty-one... It was a very good year for city girls... with all that perfumed hair
And it came undone

Seriously, I'm not that charismatic in real life. I think I've come a long way from my daze of old and locking myself in the basement to go on four day coding binges, but I'm not Axl Rose, yet.

Also! Don't worry about your own self for that kind of stuff right now. For most people, being charismatic and outgoing requires some work. You've spent your life doing more important things, which you'll have with you for the rest of your life. Worry about the 'easy' stuff later.....

And the other thing... troupe! Thank you for the kind and completely true compliements. E-mail me so we can discuss stuff!

Ah! I got a DS recently, so I'm planning on getting some more games for it. I'm already fairly good at Metroid: Hunters demo and Project Rub / Feel the Magic. I hope to snag Mario 64 DS and Wario Ware Touched if I've got the cash.

When exactly is the REAL Metroid DS game coming out?

Strangely I've had a weird urge to look, play, maybe even buy a DS lately. Makes no sense, since I lack the time, but.

The DS is a great piece of kit. It can put a bit of strain on the wrists if you're holding it at a funky angle for too long but the design is fairly sturdy. No dead pixels or anything, plus the touch screen is impressively hard-wearing. I've seen one or two absolutely trashed in some major games stores but on reflection they must have been subject to some AWESOME abuse to be screwed that badly. I've been playing Project Rub solidly for the last few days - stabbing, rubbing and poking my way through all sorts - and there *still* isn't a scratch on it.

I'd like to give a PSP a shot but I'm a Nintendo man at heart. Lots of guys at my classes in Uni were hardcore Playstationers but I've really started to turn them around with many hours of Gamecube play and dragging them all down to the local gamestore's DS stand. Ehehe.

No idea when the REAL Metroid is coming out, but it will most definetly rock. The secret video on the start-up screen of the demo (touch the little glowing bit in the bottom left of the screen) doesn't even mention a date, so I'll assume it's simply 'soon'.

Anyone fancy posting their Metroid Demo survival mode high-scores? Currently (having only bought my DS over the weekend) I've managed to get a fairly good 332 points with 142 kills after some long stretches of extreme boredom.

I've worked out some good strategies for playing and can't wait to jump into some multiplayer matches. I've been using the thumbstrap rather than the stylus, pulling it tight over my thumb so the plastic bit is sort of at an angle, allowing me to look around wider and faster plus making jumping (by double-tapping the screen) a little easier.

Woop, better make that Metroid survivor score 567 points and 217 kills. What can I say: staying at my grandmother's for the day is highly boring.
