I only went outside twice today, and the door was open for seconds each time!

But... my little kitty is missing!

I'm such a horrible parent. :(

:(

Hopefully s/he will show up somewhere. Our cat likes to hide in little cubby holes and stuff sometimes, which causes us to lose her for a few hours while she naps. Good luck finding your kitty!

Have you considered the possibility that your pirate kitten is still inside your home?
We allways had cats in our family, and I can tell you they are awfully good at finding spots to hide where you would NEVER look for them.
Turn off all radios, TVs etc, sit in a chair and listen carefully. Maybe you can hear his(her?) mewing.

That sucks, Grue. :(

I long for the day when they engineer cats to be magnetic, so you can just pull them back to you.

Have you checked your shoes?

under beds, vents, couches? Perhaps it's on your head?

Dude... that sucks... the few things that are given to us for life's enjoyment... and they run off on us...

I lost our rat twice. One time he turned up in my dressing gown pocket on the back of a door, the other he turned up behind a bunk bed, sat on a pile of discarded toys. Little bastards. Listen out for their noise..
