To be perfectly honest, George Washington didn't die for MY sins. The British government ticked him off, a whole bunch of famous colonists got wrapped up in an idea that spawned a revolution greater than anything they could have hoped for, Washington fought to protect his freedoms, and he finally helped establish a government to protect his property.
Not that I've got anything against Washington. Good man. His isolationist policies were expedient and beneficial to America at the time.
