To be more precise the colour rgb(255,0,255) so full red and blue with no green. It's used to denote a transparent pixel, as it has no purpose for existence otherwise. Don't worry, none of these horrible pixels are printed in verge if you use TBlit() or similar, they vanish like magic and show whatever tile or image is behind it.
