Hey there, I've put together a little graphics demo (first one at http://www.verge-rpg.com/files/ currently).

I'd like to find a couple people who want to work with me on a project. I don't have a particular project in mind -- we could come up with something cool, and make it happen!

Rock on.

Those are very remarkable sprites...how'd you make them?

I modelled them first, animated, and rendered them on a magenta background frame by frame.

The tiles were done in photoshop.

I use a variety of programs for what I do -- I'm not adverse to taking photos and manipulating them for what I need -- whatevergets me the final product, barring plagerism, of course.

That's some sexy sprites, not my style, but as 3D sprites go these are the best I have seen. Seriously, you could probably find someone to make a game with this pretty easily. Anyway, good luck.

What program did you use to model them?

Hey Pete!

My name's Matt. I'm new around here, but I developed games for the OHRRPGCE back in high school. I do lots of programming on the net too, so I'm good on the programming side of things, and I like writing stories too. In fact, I already have a story ready to go.

I was playing a very old OHR game I made about five years, and I found myself rediscovering my own jokes and having a lot of fun with a game that has outdated graphics and no more sound (the OHR uses an outdated mode of producing music that most PCs can't play anymore because they no longer have the hardware).

I like rendering myself and have some intro movies prepared. http://www.languagesite.net/lsoaroi_verge.zip. I think our graphical styles would compliment each other really well. I love the movies and environmental backdrops, but I'm really terrible at people and maptiles and things like that.

You can find the original OHR version of my game, Lolsidothaldremobine, on my site too. http://www.languagesite.net/lsoaroi_ohr.zip. You need game.exe to play the game. You can get that from the OHR download site at http://www.hamsterrepublic.com/ohrrpgce/index.php/Downloads.html.

I want the new version to have bigger dungeons, more kinds of monsters, a new spell acquisition system, puzzles in dungeons, more irreverant dialogue and lots of hidden treasure (something I neglected from the first version). Seeing Coris, Letia, Yugen, Zeek and the rest in 3D, as well as having a tile overhaul would be awesome. Let me know what you think.

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
