Bahaha, this is great. The sad thing is I have an incomplete version of one I did of this SAME song on my hard drive. :P
Still FFVII's main theme is still one of my favourite's of all time.
My most recent completed NES remix was "The Millenial Fair" from CT...I'll upload it right now.
Clicky!
On a side note: Troupe, do you not find it odd that you would do a remix of one of my hero's music, and I would do a remix of one your hero's....? O_o

Wow, that was awesome Troupe :O To this day, I still like NES style music, and hearing FFVII's theme in that style felt really nostalgic...

Glad you enjoyed it. I'm doing some NES work for the HoV and some other non-HoV projects. Be on the alert!

Here's something NES-sounding from a strange game Grue was working on. I think it's nifty, but then again many things are nifty. :)

Haha, yes, I have this mod. Very awesome. Although this song has got to be the most covered piece in history. Virt has also done a chiptune remix. I like yours a lot though.

It was the whole "whiskers on kittens" idea that settled the need for this song, but please don't make me explain. :o

Favorite things? Are we joking here? Is that really Sound of Music?

Sweet, sweet nostalgia.
I remember opening up my original PSX (not that PS1) Christmas morning ...three years ago. FF7 and Lunar were sitting right next to it. I remember the Toys R Us people who told Mom they thought Lunar was the best RPG they'd ever played, even better than FF7. I thought they were morons (now of course, after getting over my FF7 fettish three months later, I'd change my mind and see that Lunar warrants respect).
But the first weeks were just FF7 and Ape Escape. And maybe Crash Bandicoot 2. Well, there were games, but always FF7.
And then I beat it. Like, my first Final Fantasy game that I actually beat. Well, the nostalgia has since worn off, but that Christmas morning was awesome...
Pure, pure gaming bliss followed...that PSX controller felt so nice to hold the first day.
Eh, in other words, great job Troupe. And Zathras, I will have to show my friends that song of yours. Maybe they'll laugh with me. Or cry. If they cry that'd be bad. But maybe funny.

Zathras, what's your next Sound of Music remix going to be? I quite liked Climb Every Mountain. And the other one that the elderly nun sang.... er, anyway:
So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye...

I'm glad I inspired that tale, Omni. I had absolutely no idea what relevance that had until I got to the end o_o. But your nostalgia did inspire my memory of getting Xenogears and FF9 (I think...), and playing XG and thinking to myself "What the hell is this?". It was not until a few weeks later that I discovered what an awesome game that was (I thought it was awesome, at least...) It seems like the Final Fantasy series eclipses any games that are released close by. But I still love them ;_;
