First image is going to be published in a children's book, along with about 15 other images of the character. The second is just some character doodles I was doing. Like a rogue and a villain or something.
all photoshop, ,but i was trying to give a slight water color look to the first.
Still, ultra-cool nice. Photoshop still requires the same - if not greater - skill level standard painting does, it's just it offers some much nicer tools to play with.
I was thinking, what if they made a paint program where the paint actually runs out and you have to buy more. Wouldn't that be awesome? You should even notice how the Brush tool sort of stops giving the same lovely filled colorful splash, instead starting to run out of painted pixels.
You'd have to start using one of the other 16 million colors I guess, or buy more pixel-paint. $14.95 for 100'000 pixels of pixel-paint!
Thanks.. erm.. painter sort of does that. You don't buy more, but some brushes loose their pain weight with long stroke. fucking drives me nuts.. hate that fucking program.
There's another piece of software called ArtRage that pretty much does the same thing. The problem is, it's so simplified it's irritating. Photoshop at the very least does not treat you like an idiot!
Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
