RageCage	full profile never looks right, and since diagonal frames and move codes arnt in verge yet... hes horizontal. I'm thinkin I'll do like little fighter does as far as horizonal movement. Posted on 2004-06-10 05:36:22
Troupe	I tried my hand at sprite art yesterday. After several hours (I went through the entire FFT soundtrack...) I decided that it is a pain in the ass and that Square hires deities. Of course, I was trying to emulate the look of a Square sprite completely from scratch. But it still hard. Posted on 2004-06-10 07:19:28
Kildorf	Sprites can be fun, and they can also make you wish to kill yourself. A long time ago, I found a pretty good starting tutorial (possibly linked from the old VERGE site, now that I think about it) that has sadly not been updated since December 2001. It's worth a look anyway, though, as it's good stuff, even if it doesn't focus solely on sprite art (it spends a fair bit of time on tiles as well).
