Well... I figured I should make one more reason for everyone to hate me, so I'm developing a Verge Decompiler... but I don't know how to release it. Is it fit for general consumption? Will it promote lamer-rip offs? Should I make it non-windows friendly to stop that? I need feedback. Hate the idea, like the idea, either way, post something so I can know...

Someone released a decompiler for V2 a while back, and there was very little reaction one way or the other. I haven't seen it in any of the archives, so I guess it's faded into obscurity. I don't know if this is because people had no use for a decompiler or because they are in denial of its existence, but anyone who thinks VC bytecode is somehow secure is deluding themselves. You should release it just like you would release any other utility.

I think You should Release the Decompiler because there are some games that I wanted to look at the .vc but they got rid of it...I also need it because I lost the .vc to DHTD and Khross never got around to sending them to me. It will a handy tool to have!

I think the games which actually has removed the vc files, has removed them because they don't want people to look at it ^^;
