Anyone know any good V2.6+ tutorial? I have been searching many sites for tutorials, but all those I found are V2 only and I would like to begin Verge with the V2.6 version.
The V2 tutorials are good for Maped but they do not explain how to compile, where to find system.fnt, etc.
Any help appreciated!

V2.6 is very similar to V2 in many ways, so V2 tutorials wouldn't do too bad in teaching 2.6.
Go to http://www.vergesource.com/articles/ and look at the V2 tutorial at the very bottom. The first one shows most of the basics. Then look at "Introduction to Verge 2.5" to see whats the difference between V2 and V2.5+. V2.6 is the Windows version of V2.5 and they work in the exact (almost) same way.
Btw about your system.fnt thing, there SHOULD be a template for all of this. Or, I can provide you with the necessary files to stop VERGE from self-destructing if you wish.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I would very much like to have the template in question. I searched for it on several web sites (vergesource being the first), but all the links I found were dead.
Speaking of VergeSource.com, the tutorial there is very good, it's tailored to a newbie's needs, even if the part about compiling isn't up to date. I can work around that though, my main problem was finding all the necessary files to run V2.6 or WinV2.

I zipped up and placed all the needed files for proper verge operation at:
http://www3.sympatico.ca/as-santos/neededfiles.zip
This excludes the exe and dll files since they take up too much space.
Note that the page in there is unrelated to VERGE.

Use winV2, it's the one that's evolving still.
v2.6 will adapt to run existing v2.x games as well as it can, and on as many systems/platforms as it can.
