Damnit, had to start over, stupid internet connection decided to delete my text...
As far as VO goes, I have agree with Miggle on the fact that is just needs good leadership. That seems to be a major issue with such projects. I'm not going to claim to know about the troubles that come from being a leader on such a project, but it just seems that everyone who is working on it looses interest and that is the end.
Musicians can be replaced, artists, as much as it hurts to say, can be replaced. To me it looks like coders cannot be. It seems that every coder wants to either start over, or at least just start from scratch. I know how hard it is to continue someone else's work, especialy with code. And when you see flaws that you would not have made.
I have forgot half the stuff I typed before and many of the points I was trying to make, basicly I think that all a project like VO needs is a very dedicated programer, and nothing of the sort has come along that I have been aware of. When the programer gives up, the project dies, whether the music maker, the artist, or the fans fight to keep it alive or not. The body won't work without a skeleton, no matter how good the muscles work.
Just my opinion poorly stated.
More on this as I remember.
