How do you make a battle system to begin with?

More specifically is it possible to make one, like Chrono Triggers at the most advanced, or for a similiar system like Final Fantasy 3's...

I noticed there are no battle system downloads so I'm guessing it's the hardest thing to make...

Please help me out, I'm really new to verge.

Chrono trigger could be done, but it'd probably involve hacking at the entity system some. FF3 (assuming you mean ff3us) is also possible and fairly easy since the Speed Bump has done it for you. Go snag Sully pi from somewhere or even Zara's EZv2. Both will help your game development emmensly.
