Updated my site. More assorted junk on it.

Not the least of which is a windows port of the original v2.0. It's by no means complete, but it's far more predictable than v2.6, it's not prone to leave windows "stuck" on your desktop, and it works with some games just fine. (play Rainbow Despair in win2k!) It's also the product of a mere two days of work, which I'm rather proud of. ^_^

Does this have the same annoying problem the original v2 had where certain MODS refuse to work correctly?

Thanks, TSB. The only reason I'm not using V2.0 is because win2k hates its stinking guts. Maybe this will help me out with my project. . . I'm gonna go work on it right now. Thanks again!

I was wondering what happened to the DirectDraw GFX plugin. The recent versions don't have one, and the old one doesn't work. (Says unable to load graphics dll) I only ask because under software rendering my poor computer chugs along worse then it has with any other version of VERGE. (And I haven't even started in on all the Alpha level stuff I wanna do. ;) )

Also, what is the difference between GFX_soft and GFX_soft16? I'm thinking that soft is 32-bit and soft16 is forced 16-bit, but is that the only difference?

Thanks for adding the tile replace option to WinMapEd's import function. That's something I've been wishing for since V2.0

P.S.
Per tile alpha rules.

The directdraw plugin, while fast on some systems, was a serious pain to maintain, and it didn't support any kind of alpha.

gfx_soft16 is 16bpp, while gfx_soft is 32bpp, true. Also, gfx_soft16 takes some shortcuts in the way of visual quality to make it faster. (it's got a ways to go, it's still %100 C++, I need to inline some ASM)

It should. This uses v2.7's sound engine, not v2's DOS driven nightmare.

As a side effect, it'll play ITs, but I advise against making v2 games using that feature, as it isn't implemented in the DOS version.
