Does V2k (2.5) have BMP support??i do not think so, because when i tried, it loaded up an ugly mess, i know though... it can take GIFs, but none of my programs ( as is know) do not allow me to save as a gif, does anyone out there know these two things...
() what is the image support for V2K??
() and what is a way to get gifs???
i would be very happy to whom will help me...

Verge supports gif, pcx, and bmp. But I think it was something about they have to be in 256 colors...? Not sure about the newer versions of Verge, though.
What are you using to draw the image, MSPaint? I haven't used that program for a long time, so I'm not sure, but check if there is an option to lower the colors to 256. Or try getting another program, I suggest Paint Shop Pro at www.jasc.com, but it is quite large, so if you don't want to get it, try to find something at www.tucows.com
Oh, and change the signature of yours. I know I am being nice to you, but that is just my nature. And having my nick in your signature, when most vergers hate you, is embarrasing. Really.

The old school v2 (ie not v2k, v2k+i, or v2k+j) supports gif and 256 color pcx images. v2k supports hi-color 15 or 16bit pcx images. The gimp will save the pcx images (but not gif if you live in a country that recoginizes the unisys patent on the lzw compression algrithm)
v2k+j may support bmp but I'm not sure about that.
Those in the know feel free to post corrections and flame me for my apparent stupidity.
