Hi guys. I'm attempting to cram in some last minute stuff before presenting a small preview of my "project" to the teachers in charge of the senior projects.
I have two questions, one I think I can possibly find the answer to because someone asked earlier about how to display text (but if anyone could just tell me how to do it while they're at it, that would be great).
I've mastered the "wander box" movement in the MapEd entity option. The (stupid) question now, is, how do I get a character that can take user input (i.e. how do I make it so that a character moves when a player pushes the arrow keys)? Please, I've already found the section in the VergeC readme that has the "flag" list for the keys, and I've copied that into one of my map vc's, but i just don't know what to do with it.
And also, how do I get the screen to display a spot other than the farmost upper left corner of the map when I run Verge initially? The character input question is more important, so if you can only answer one, please tell me how to get the character to move according to user input! And please, I need to know before 2:30pm today, so speediness would be preferred. Code would also be extra sweet. Thanks!
:P

P.S. Zero, I don't know if you'd want a semi-newbie doing any character design for you, but I've done quite a bit of anime artwork for a couple really small magazines, and even though I just altered the original character that came with the Verge 2 package, I don't think my characters look half bad. So if you want, I guess I could show you a couple of my pcx files and you could see if you wanted my help (although I don't know how much time I'd actually be able to put in). Whatever.

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
