Bugenhagen

This is Bugen, if anyone remembers me. (I registered under that 'nick, but I think I mistyped my e-mail address because I didn't get the confirmation e-mail). Anyway, I'm looking for some VERGE 1 games from when I was around:

- Saga of the Stars (there's a link to it on the V1 Games page here, but it leads to a 404 Not Found page)
- The one with the deities, and with the elemental people, where the fire guy fell in love with the water girl
- The one where, if I remember correctly, the first demo was completely unlike the second, and the beginning of the third was like the second but with some notable differences (I think it might be The Silver Circle, which is also on the Games page and which also leads to a 404 Not Found page)

Unfortunately, I can't help you with the files (I'd previously leeched the rather comprehensive load off of klepto's short-lived collection, but I think I sent it to Tat, and that's the last I heard of it) but I'm pretty sure the second one you're looking for is Wooly's God's Destiny and the third is Tears of Vengeance by Blue_Star and Spram.

My mom thinks I'm cool.

Yup, I remember you. :)

I am absolutely certain that Falthorn is correct: You are looking for McGrue's 'Saga of the Stars', Wooly's 'The Gods of Destiny', and Blue Star and Spram's 'Tears of Vengeance'. I'm busy uploading them right now, along with Silver Circle (since you mentioned it...) and an unrelated file. (FTP says I have about an hour or so left to go, so check the time stamp before clicking...) I'm not sure which version of ToV I'm uploading, but it's the one with the frog puzzle.

Bleah, the board didn't parse the HTML anchors I threw in that message, and there's no 'preview message' option, so links are below. :)

Those sound about right, thanks.

While I'm at it, there are a few more game demos which I'm a bit interested in replaying mostly out of nostalgia...
- AOL Chronicles
- Caveman Village
- The Crumbling World (xBig_D's game -- I think that's it)
- Genesis (I think that's what it was called -- I mean the game that Seren was working on, at least I think that's her name -- it started outside a military camp in a snowfield and had modified FF3e sprites)
- Lord of the Ikuzo
- Naflign's battle system demos
- Quest V

I understand that I'm asking for a lot of stuff, but I can't seem to find it elsewhere. To help make up for it a bit, I just submitted my previously (publically) unreleased second demo of my old Zelda game here. The demo was supposed to have a few more things in it (like the first dungeon), but I lost it when I switched computers, and this is what I have left. I also had another demo which I sent to two people or so -- a serious game (that I don't even remember the title of) which used Ric's FF-alike battle system, had modified FF3e sprites, and crashed at the end of a flashback scene for a reason I never figured out (which is ultimately why I stopped making the game), which I lost. I'm not sure if anyone still has it, but if someone does I'd like to play through it again. :)

Seren's was Revelation, and I can upload a version of that in a little while, along with Ikuzo. I don't have any of the others, tho'. Sorry. :)

(Still uploading Silver Circle. When I get Rev and Ikuzo up, they should be at:

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
