i just wish to notify the interested. confluence has always moved with great dedication and determination forward. we've been changing style and thought of new and better ways and atlast it seems we've decided for what and how we'll do.
confluence will leave the verge scene as it seems. we've been having thoughts long ago about it, but we quickly went back to verge. this time we have good reasons to pursue a more intruiging goal.
confluence will hopefully be published on game boy advance, for anyone's chance to play it who will buy the game boy advance.
the site updates slowly, and without a messageboard (with no banners) it seems mighty dead. the confluence gaiden will most probably continue and we'll try to get a messageboard. the visits from interested people will always be a great support to us and i thank all who have been there to increase the little counter on our site.
the counter by the way counts unique visits, i think we have twenty visitors per day or so. anyway, thank you.
surely you may reply and flame or praise this decision, the reason to why we have moved to game boy advance is because we've been introduced to a possibility of a good friend funding it enough to publish it.
recently andy (the speed bump) has joined our team, we hope that this all leads to the dreams of our members. that confluence will be able to be played by almost anyone out there. if you wish to e-mail the whole team, write to us at lightcharm@umich.edu
i hope the verge community will grow once more when a standard (verge 2.7) is set. let's introduce people and tell them about how you can make your own rpg once more.
i'll probably never use verge 2.7, so this is also a semi-goodbye from me to the engine. since i'll not use it for more than The Questing ( http://zaril.zerion.com/verge/thequesting/ ).
kind regards and thanks for reading,
hampus 'zaril' berggren.
PS. the topic might sound negative, but believe me, the project spirit is still going strong. it will be done, b/w, 4 colors, qbasic, paper/pen doesn't matter. it will be done, that is one of the key purposes it was started. DS.

How does one develop for the gameboy advance? Are you joining some big gaming company or something?

P.S. I own a GBA, and hopefully I'll see your game in the future :P

We'll code it and check in on emulators and possibly a little connector that can connect a PC to a GBA and test run it.
We won't join a big company, we'll "simply" develop it, then get fundings enough to get the rights and all to sell it as a GBA game.
The internet is full of emulators for GBA as well as documents on specs.
I also hope you'll get to play Confluence on GBA. =)
Regards,
Hampus.
