Can someone tell me the copyright license status for this project? I'm considering the possibility of porting to another platform, but unless the code is available under (L)GPL or BSD-style terms, I'll probably just end up looking to adapt another project instead.

On some further investigation, I notice a lot of references to V2 being GPL'd, and possibly an SDL-based GNU/Linux port in the works from around 2000, so I guess that answers my question (and the next one I would have asked).

The SDL version is sitting here:

v26rev8.tar.bz2 (source)
v26rev8-win32.zip (windows binaries)

I have *no idea* if that code still works in linux or not. (I'm fairly sure it does in fact work, though) I myself haven't used linux much over the past year or so. Next time I boot it up, I'll do some tinkering.
