Well I don't know how big of news this is, but I'll post it anyway. I've just released the default verge pallete (the one that v1 uses and that v2 uses unless you tell it otherwise) for The Gimp. I forgot to include a read me so unzip it to \path_to_gimp\_gimp1.1.default\palettes under windows (being sure to replace path_to_gimp with the path that you installed gimp into usually C:\Program Files\GIMP)
