Is there any way to change around obstruction sets? What I want to do is have a vehicle that can move on certain terrain that the player can't, but can't move on terrain that the player can. (i.e. a boat can move in water, but not on land). So, can anyone help me? Also, I want to make a flying vehicle but the mode7.vc file i see sitting around just gives me page faults! (im using v2k+j, btw)...

*Grpl Grunjn*. all the newfangle n' consternation nowaday. Why, when I was a yungin'...
I'm discontipated.
The first help message I can truly answer is on the general board. Oh the irony!
I just aged seventy years in 2 minutes because of that. freaky, huh? Now I'm a crotchedy old man.
Never! Never put another help message on the general board. arrgh!

sorry, time for some answers...
Don't put obstructions anywhere that either (player or vehicle) can go, only put them in no man's land (or no woman's land(chill, I'm PC)). Put a zone that pushes the player back to the player's land all over the edges of the vehicle's land, and a zone that pushes the vehicle back to the vehicl'es land all over edge of the player's land. This may require tricky coding, if yo plan on having diagonal (zigzag) boundaries.
Or, If the vehicle and player never co-exist, create 2 seperate maps, with differently placed obstructions.
Or, If you don't mind the warpage it will add to your maps, add a buffer square 1 square wide between both territories.
Or, let the entities of the vehicles, pass through obstructions, but program them to stay in their own territory.
All of these solutions will be tricky, but it's the best I can offer, because I don't code.

Anyway, I don't have time to say much, At my age, Death is impending (and I'm working on JF's tank tonight, see below), but I must say that I check the help board daily, but have found nothing of yours I could answer there.
I was tempted not to answer this, but do to the entire freakishness of my figurative aging becoming literal due to my subliminal need to conform topic & text, and the nature of truth online, an NT would have left me in my figurative old state unexplained. get it? I'm sleepy, and my logic's funny. I do not endorse this post. Don't post help posts on the general board!
Also, your below post is just begging to be flamed. Never (ever) post a post who's sole is to redirect you to the help board. Never! Never, do you hear me?
I don't have time to elaborate.

Excessive posts is what's the matter wit' yungin's nowaday! Excessive posts, and newfangle computer humjiggers. bah!
*shuffles away mumbling about the price of tea, the war, and the good old day*

(A word of advice; Never! Never, assume there's not a crotchedy old man watching you online (yes, I do realize that my word of advice is never.).

Er, sorry...it's just that nothing ever gets answered on the help board and being that I'm banned from esper.net (*sigh* that's a long story) this is my only resort...

Yeah, I understand the likes of Quantum Physics and Molecular Theory. What's the point? I just need you to tie my shoes.

Oil of olay age reducing cream. It's so super effective,it's availalable in sensitive, and oily skin varieties. Refreshing? somewhat. It hurts a little.
Ah the wonders of youth. Now all I need is for this thread to get pushed off the board, and I should revert back to teenagehood with very few injuries.
This whole aging thing is pretty mysterious. maybe I'll have my doctor look into it. But first, I'll tell the inquirer...

BTW, did you refer to me as the loard?

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
