i downloaded the Dragon Warrior Legends demo game. but the only exe file that i found in it that might be used to start the game was verge.exe
when i opened it, it only froze my comp. does anyone else got the DWL demo game and have it working?
what am i supposed to have to get it to work?
im a noob at this verge stuff. first i ever heard of it really.

It froze your comp? The only thing you should have to do is double click Verge.exe to play it. I guess Verge2.6 isn't too compatible with your computer. If this keeps happening to you, just wait until I release the WinV2 port. I'm working on that right now. ...and it should be a lot more compatible.
By the way, you DID get the final demo that's at the sourceforge site, right?

thats the one i have. is there 1 befor that one that i need? if so..where do i get it from?
i REALLY love the dragon warrior things..doesnt matter what things it is as long as it's dragon warrior/dragon quest.

I also run windows ME. But Verge2.6 has lots of compatibility issues, and I've got lots of reports of DWL not working on some people's machines. Just wait for the WinV2 port. It'll be more compatible.

ok. i'll try to get it to work. i'm pretty good at figureing out how programs and stuff work..heh heh...it's how i cracked the logoff and login code for the cheetachat program used in yahoo!chat.
i'm currently trying to crack the weburl code for yahoo also. it's a b*tch to do.
anyways. i seen some of the files for the DWL game. just like to say good work on it and ask a question.
if this is just a demo, does that mean that you, or someone of the sort, is going to make a full DWL computer game? if so, i gotta tell ya now, i'd buy it in a heart beat!
im trying to find DW7 and waiting for DW4 to be re-released.

yo!! i got it to work perfectly...when the game starts the music and sound is a bit scratchy...but it works its self out as time gos by.
THIS GAME F*CKING RUUUUULLLSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!
by the way..is it alright if i modify the word files for the mnster stats?

Seriously. Thanks for feedback. After all, it's all about the fans, when making a game like this(without fans, I'd never finish it), and it WILL become a full game someday. And about modifying to word files...go ahead. But it won't be as easy to cheat in the full game ;) Right now, everything is more open-sourced & easily edited. The final will still be open-sourced, but data files will be more secure :P
