Just wondering who's activly making what right now in the community. I've kinda been a VERGE hermit for a bit of late ;)
Who's making games?
Who's making utilities?
Has anyone made any good Battle Systems latly?
Who put the dog in the dog house?
Is anyone finishing anything other than Zaratustra?
Just wondering. I'll try and step out of #ps more often in the future ;)

I am making a game, Prophet's Way (it might be featured in the expo if I can get enough finished intime)
There are rumors of other people making games but I have nothing definite

I am about to release a copy of the verge pallete for the Gimp.

Not that I know of but I have one planned for my game (Prophet's Way)

Rumors and sightings that make bigfoot photos look realistic have been rumored to have gone around. Nothing definite or concrete, however, has been done to my knowledge. With of couse the exception of Sully Pi (the v2k+i pack-in demo) which is pretty good has a bunch of rpg functions (of course sans battle sys)

The DP team is making a game(rpg) "Essenece" and are in need of some help with maps and tile texturing.
We have only just begun sortof, well really all there is left to do is code, tile, and make chr's.
..::Utilities::..
The coder for DP made a lil app so to test your maps and chr's in different resolutions quiet handy i must say! ^_^
..::Battle System::..
We play to use/make a chrono triger style battle system with ofcourse less complexity. So if there is one out there it will save us some time. ^_^

He was eating all my rtf's for the project so someone had to put him back in his rightfull place hehhe ^_^ (its lame i know hhaha)

Crap... Why do I still visit these boards... I must be obsessed... Or brain damaged from this horrific math I've been pouring through my brains...
Anyway, I essentially finish Nuke the Whales Quest (http://members.home.net/lordfruitiger/), though I never put music in it... Oh well, I've moved onto bigger and better things... Which I'd like to say are secret and very l33t, but they aren't...
Anyway, my origional point in checking the boards... Anyone else ever manage to screw up ICQ hardcore? I just did and am desperate for help... please....

only the one for my game FF/DW style although everyone reacts as soon as their turn is up... speaking of which... does anyone have any thoughs on how damage should be scored? Right now I have 2 values for attacks ATP and WeponATP as well as 2 for defense DEF and ArmorDEF. The baddies only have an ATP and DEF value. The damage is scored like this:
Baddie attack = rand(ATP) hero defense = DEF+(rand(armorDEF)) Final damage to hero is Baddie Attack-Hero Defense... Hero attacking works the same way... How does everyone else score damage? This works, but gives me really low values for final damage unless the enemies are much stonger than the heroes.

My game still has a long hard road ahead... most of the important code is done though.

Verge can only get in the way of my training towards becoming the GL master... Once I begin my quest for 3d skillz, I can never turn back.
(Translation: I've got a new project. Mwahahahah.)
On a side note, I think that the login thing sucks... I can't tell if I'm logged in or not... And the damn thing doesn't tell you if the pass/username entered are valid... Eh, whatever...
