Hi everyone

First a big vote of approval (without the need for recounts ^_-) for the new site. Together with the Verge Source there's now two excellent sites for VERGE users of all levels to go to, which brings me to my site.

For those of you who don't know anything about it (I see a lot of names I don't recognise so I'll assume there are people who don't) back before V2 was launched my site had something of a reputation for being up to date. Around the time V2 was released I realised just how much time I spent keeping the site updated and checking links, etc. Eventually I sort of lost interest in maintaining it - until I discovered PHP and wrote a very simple script to semi-automate the news section. I was going to rewrite the other sections (i.e. the files and links sections) but then I had to go on a six month work placement, during which I did not have time to work on my site.

With the new verge-rpg.com and Verge Source I'm wondering if it would be worth continuing my site anymore. So I'm looking for some feedback, as to whether or not you'd like to see extended play back:

a) as a VERGE news only site
b) as before (see http://www.doc.ic.ac.uk/~rwkl97/oldep/ for the sort of content I used to have)

or alternatively if you feel that extended play has run it's course and should be retired please say so.

ric,

I definetely think there'll always be a place for more verge sites, especially ones that maintain the quality level yours did throughout it's extended play. Sorry about the pun.

Let extended play live on. THere will always be needs for more verge sites. Yours was a classic, and should be around forever if it could be.

I'd like to see the old EP site as your index page again.

As for news updates, just say so and you can do so on tVS (or here, most likely).

I loved extended play, I would really like to see it return to the way it was before (b) :)

The great thing about Extended Play was that it kept the entire scene in perspective by going out and finding news about the smallest things. It kept track of website changes to new demo releases to email, links and such. There certainly hasn't been a site willing to commit that level of dedication, though if you feel up to it, the community will welcome it back with open arms.

Do the comik or be unhappy.

Extended Play was always my favourite VERGE site, so I really do recommend you do it ^_^
Besides, we all know the official VERGE page will enter a coma in about a week or two and we won't see another update for half a year, so we could always use another news site ^_~

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
