TheGerf

Was it specifically named system.fnt?

TheGerf, not just any gerf.

Was it a V2 format font? V1 fonts aren't compatible (I don't think) and True-Type TTF files won't work either, even if you rename them.

And they have to be in the same folder. I mean, sure, that's obvious, but you have to avoid those ID10T errors.

tvs.mastercain.com has lots of ready-made fonts, plus utilities to create your own fonts from scratch and from images. Try there also, to make sure your system.fnt is valid.

Also, system.fnt *must* be an 8x8 font! Other sizes don't work.

Hmm, hope all that helps.

That is all.

Ear

V1 fonts are not compatible, and neither are v2+i's or v2.7's current font format. Also, system.fnt can be ANY size.

Hey, if system.fnt can be any size, don't sizes other than 8x8 make the console look weird? Not that it's important to a game, just curious...

That is all.

In plain ol' V2, big fonts do indeed look a bit strange in the console.

aen fixed that in v2k, however.
