How interesting is it to gain music from a non-team member...? What am I talking about?

I want practice. I wish to make more and more game-related tunes. Tracked ones. Would there be any interest in a page where you can "order" music for your game? With order I don't mean it will cost anything, but I'd set a limit to how many songs you'd be able to ask for.

I might not be the best tracker around, but I'd like to believe I am good. So, if I made a form where you fill out small info about a tune, like how long it should be, what feel and the scene it will be in, would you take the opportunity? :)

If this gets attention, people are interested I'll sit and make music for anyone who wants (first person would get music first) it. For their game. XM, MOD, S3M or IT.

Regards,
Hampus (aka Zaril).

Such a webpage/service would kick ass. I'd use it.

You should set up a system that would function like a message board. First, someone looking for tracks makes a post about it. It be a good idea to have a template request form where requestors select what they want their song to be like. This being because most non-trackers have no idea what a tracker needs to know to make a song.

Second, trackers could respond to the request saying they'll do the song.

I don't know if this is more complicated than you intended it to be, but the main idea I have going is that a system like this would allow for trackers to contribute to games casually without having to be comitted to any one project, which will most likely come to nothing anyhow.

Another idea I have along these lines is to add a team recruitment forum to v-rpg. It could be just another message board section (Didn't the old version of v-rpg have a development board?). If you could get lore or someone to set that up it would be alot easier than making an entirely new site, and it would be used more since it'd be right here on v-rpg.

At any rate, those are just some ideas that came to mind.

I think it's an awesome idea! You're still one of my favorite trackers out there, and I'm still in the market for a rockin' themesong for me! My evil alter-ego has already conned, er, graciously been tracked by Zath, but I need something to fit my rockin-hardcore side; not necessarily for a game, but just to have one, ya know?! Plus, I need a title track for my new driving tunes CD :D

So, yeah! Hey, I'll even do an art trade if you're so inclined! ^_^

Rock on!

Really nice ideas, however this is for my personal training/favors instead of a verge tracking convention. ^_^ I'm glad that you posted the ideas about it, since what you say about "non-trackers" might perhaps not know what they want, I'll make it a little easier to choose. Thanks, but I'll keep it to a one-man thing. :)

*blush* Thanks for the compliments. I believe you'll be able to get that from me. However I'll put the page up when I come home or the like. I don't require any specific art in return. I'm glad I can help, but please do keep on drawing. ^_^
