okay well im an old timer sorta in the rpg creation toolkit genre of programs. about 6 years ive been using these (since the first translation of the rpg maker 95) and well i need to know if anyone would be willing to work on an rpg with em entitled Dragon Riders. I had worked on it wayyy back then, redone the story, upgraded to rpg maker 2k didnt like it that much either, and well i know nothing on how to use verge, but was playing games for it about 6 years back also, so i know how its moved forward. just wondering, is it really hard to use?

Verge (in any form) is _not_ hard to use. The hard part is self-motivation :|

I have been in your exact position. I have had an evolving rpg design in mind for about 3 years now and have bounced between rpg toolkits, never accomplishing anything. This is why I'm not using Verge anymore. There are no problems with the engine per se, but it's just important to me to actually _finish_ the project, so it's on hold until I get a team together that can build it from scratch, the way I envision it in my head (mmm.... Metal Gear Solid ;)

Honestly, if you want to pull together a team of strangers from across the internet you're going to have to prove to them that not only is this a *cool* and *worthwhile* project, but that you seriously intend to finish it, and give them a reason to help you do that.

And be _absolutely_ sure that Verge will do everything you want before you start.

That is all.

well this is the thing, it is hard, it resembles c. what i consider easy is rpgm2k, what i consider hard is rpg toolkit and verge. first of all cuz no included graphics, that is kinda a downer, because most people dont wanna make every single thing from scratch. plus verge doesnt have anything like sources do they? that would probably be a good idea, you know a set of programming that does an event, and well you can modify its variables to taylor to your uses.

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
