Help with vc's

Ok, here's the problem:

I want to make one of the functions I made in the system.vc access the maps.vc and call a certain event; for example event 5 or something of the sort.

This way I can have individual talking and interaction scripts for each character stored in the map... Please help soon!

This is actually a built in sort of feature. What you want to do is make it so that the function you wrote can take arguments and then call that function like so
/*event #5*/
event {
my_function(stuff_to_do_for_event_5);
}

and in maped you can link an entity to event 5 whenever they are "activated" (ie the player presses enter (or whatever b1 is) next to the entity)
