Just an informal poll.. who here prefers random battles (FF9) to visible enemies that run towards you? (Chrono Cross)

I like visable enemies, but, in a limited way. It get's monotonous walking in large strange circles trying to press enemies against a boundrie(unless it's a puzzle like the pack woods in phage). But if you want to get elaborate over that mildly trivial element, it could rock. Think resident evil minded nasties popping through the walls, falling out of trees, and chasing you down, and such like.

I wanted a longer signature, but It cuts them off when they get about six lines long. I was going to sign w/the entirity of A Witch Trial at Mount Holly, by Ben Franklin (only 7Paragraphs) but It cut my lasst expiriment off earlier, and it was even shorte

Random battles are sometimes annoying since you don't know when they're about to happen. They ruin the pace. Of course, that's for people who are really into the story. Some people just like to fight more, I guess.

I like both methods. Lunar SSSC and EBC do well with visable enemies, and it's nice to be able to clear out areas while exploring.
But Final Fantasy without a battle every three steps?

No text damn shit!

Companions the creator seeks, not corpses, not herds and believers. Fellow creators the creator seeks--those who write new values on new tablets. Companions the creator seeks, and fellow harvesters; for everything about him is ripe for the harvest.

It's just that most of my 'verge time' lately has been doing exactly that, for Resident Evil Verge.

Great minds think alike... it seems ours do too!
