Yes, you read right. Not one, but TWO lovely answers for your Verge woes!!!
Answer #1:
If you *have* DOS4GW (see below if you don't) put dos4gw.exe in your c:\windows or c:\windows\system folder (I can't remember which one, so try both.) Then run Verge from the verge.exe. Should work.
Answer #2:
If #1 doesn't work, put dos4gw.exe in your verge folder alongside verge.exe, then make a new text document called verge.bat and edit it to say the following: "DOS4GW VERGE" (without the quotes) That's the only line in the verge.bat. Now run the verge.bat just like an EXE. Again, should work.
If neither of these work, then you probably have a problem with environment vars or something, but I have little experience with those things so I can't help. Sorry :(
Now if you *don't* have dos4gw I think you can get it from tvs.mastercain.com, but you'll have to search a little. Or rip it from another verge game.
