I must admit, the documentation is lost!

Boy am I glad that Linux didn't take this long to document... I have been waiting for solid documentation for months, not just some scrambled together nonsense, that was official, and from our friend, Vecna. Why hasn't there been ample documentation? I am sure DOS is dead, and Verge is on it's way with it, especially if there is no documentation.

This proves it is completely gone! No docs, no support! Either that or Vec is just really lazy.

I'm headin' out to C++ then... See you guys in the mainstream...

Excuse me but there are documents, which are concise, to-the-point, and definitely solid. It seems that you were either waiting for someone to send them directly to you or you didn't check the sidebars. They should be under resources in the docs section. Hell, aren't they already included in the zip?

As for the verge scene, Verge is alive. It is also modestly supported and if you want help, you could have always posted on the help board. It isn't like we are going to secretly point and laugh at you, if you can't get something to work.

And about vecna...he handed Verge over to aen, who hasn't done anything since v2k+j (or was that only tSB's doing *shrugs*) Quite frankly however, the only ones working on Verge are tSB and Delyn and with your attitude, I wouldn't try contacting either of them.

Good luck in whatever you do and it's good that you are leaving. Sheesh, Verge isn't a giant MakeGame() function. You gotta do the work yourself or it won't
get done.

At least not on the side bar, like you said. If you had clicked on the docs link before posting that reply, you'd know that. :P

Yeah, I checked just after I posted and there is none. Still no excuse for not finding any documents. They should be in the downloadable zip anyway and if they are not, someone should really add them.

*grumbles for an edit function*

The zipfile includes VergeC.txt, which lists all of Verge's functions/variables & provides detailed descriptions of them. And Maped comes with it's own Doc. These Docs were enough for me to get by on, but I guess if you're a complete newbie with no coding experience whatsoever, you would need something of a higher "caliber".
