Torque! Wow, been a while!
I think I qualify as a dino, or something close to anyway.. though I don't really do anything around here...
Ah well, good to see you're alive! Figured I'd reply.. ;p

alive, and still keeping odd hours.

i remember you. you are indeed worthy of dino status. the first phrase in this line giving my definition of "dino"... ha.

so you're an ex-verger? left the 'scene' yourself?

it's shame... but as the germans say, c'est la vie...

no, wait.

as the french say, 'das ist leben'...

there we go...

Do I qualify as a dino? (: Heheheheh... I'm back again, with a new project, though I don't have any help yet... I could really use someone who's good at tile art, too... and man, the tiles in Deicide were really cool... hehehehehehHINTHINTheheheheh... (:

Anyhoo, enough soliciting... what's up? (:

the tiles in Deicide were cool? bastard... :)

it's great to hear from you again. and yes, you fit my standard criterion for being a dino (namely, that i remember you.) it's cool to hear that you're working on a new project, too. i'll be happy to rip off some tile art from Klik and Play for you if you want.

a little bit new in my life. i'm out of high school, in my first year of college. studying "comparative literature" in new york. hofstra, unfortunately, not nyu or anywhere nice like that. but it's still college. and so on. i was curious to see how the vergers are doing. and it seems that someone is working on a TC for Deus Ex, called "Deicide", with the plot of "Deicide", so naturally i wanted to come back and see what was up with that ;)

thanks for shouting out my way Wyrdwad.. take care of yourself.

Ack, so the tiles in Deicide were ripped, and not original? That I didn't know... and that simply won't do. Forgotten Kings must be all original works...

But yeah, the college thing sounds cool... college was the best time of my life. If your experience in college is even half as cool as mine was, you're gonna frickin' love it, man. I've got a sweet deal now (I'm in Japan, assistant-teaching English at two junior high schools in a beach resort town near Sendai), but I'd give it all up to go back to college for just one more semester... I loved my college days sooooo much.

So yeah, enjoy 'em while you can. Four years goes by REALLY quickly.

And it's good to see you back here... Deicide was always one of my favorite VERGE games (Deicide and The Gods Destiny were my two favorites, along with one other whose name escapes me at the moment, but it was mission-based, a little futuristic/strategic, and ripped a lot of tiles from FF6).

Here's to old times, and to the games we were working on back then -- yours, which managed to impress even Feywood with its greatness, and mine, which really kinda sucked, and was doomed to failure from the get-go. (:

FK is different, though. I have support from other people. And a plot that works, and is original and wacky while still COMPLETELY CONSISTANT and detailed. (:

But yeah, I dunno how to end this, so I'll just say "ta-ta" for now. (:

Sounds like Avernus, to me... :)

I always really liked Avernus for some reason... it was just really fun! (: I liked Avernus for the funfactor, Gods Destiny for the story (and the storytelling techniques used -- I blatantly ripped off of Wooly's nighttime scene in DreamSeekers!!), and Deicide for its WONDERFUL atmosphere and story (and dialogue!). (:
