Inspired by Gungnir, I've decided to make a post.

I remember ya, and I remember sungam (magnus), Sepheroth, blahblahblah.. :) I remember Blue_Star, Dark_Omen (heh. old vergers will remember him), Vecna (of course)..

I even remember the Verge Newsletters. I still have them actually. I remember moria.vivid.com :)

Some people might remember me by the cheezy title screens and still artwork I did for them in Bryce (yuck). Man that was so long ago. That was when I started 3d (about 3 years ago).

The reason I left is because V2 became so buggy back then that it was pretty much impossible for me to progress in my demo. Either it was buggy or things were left out.

Also, as is the case, real life got in the way. I went to college for a year and a half, then moved south. I've been doing 3d ever since. I now do 3d "professionally." I work full time modelling, texturing, and animating.

Also, my demo reel (which is now in it's 4th month of production) is due May 7th. I'll be updating my webpage with more 3d content and such. For now, it doesn't have too too much. Check it out at http://www.users.fast.net/~petes.

I come here about once a day to check for updates and whatever. I don't actively participate in v2 games or anything, but I do like to see what everyone is doing and how verge is progressing.

As for the ol' days, yeah. They were good because we were younger and had more time. I was 17,18 years old. Now I'm 21 and have no time. I'm living on my own (and lovin it).

I agree with ya, when I started Verge, I was only 17 or 18 and now I'm 21 and I have a job coding and doing web art (not to mention learning DirectX and OpenGL for "fun"). I just don't have the time. And by the time I get home, I don't want to code anymore...

I come here because I remember how fun it was to dev with the old vergers at moria. I remember how I found verge because I searched for "moria and programming" (I was wanting to make another Angband clone).

Ahh well. Live is good anyway. I just come by to see how the vergers are doing. When I make the RPG I'm working on now in OpenGL, I'll give you all copies.

BTW: Does anyone know what I used to go by in the old days?

O no mimo no wa?

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
Verge-rpg.com is a member of the lunarnet irc network, and would like to take this opportunity to remind you that regardless how babies taste, it is wrong to eat them.
