...that back in the days of the Verge Repository, that site got 70,000 hits/week, and at one time 30,000/day! Funny how times change(actually, sad). :P

Just for comparison, yesterday we receive 8,126 hits. Verge-rpg.com's traffic has stayed pretty steady the last year, surprisingly enough.

Around V2's release and source code release, we received over 100,000 hits in a day. I don't remember the exact numbers, but after the slashdot link, I think we had nearly 200,000 in a day.

Keep in mind these are hits, which are very different than unique visitors.

Ahh, actually I take back what I said. Our traffic has dropped considerably over the last year, but it was a lot higher about a year ago than it was two years ago. Anyway, Apr. 2002 average hits per day was 14,537, in Feb. 2003 it was 7,861.

7,861 is still quite a bit. Where the heck are all these people? :D

We get a lot of traffic from search engines. I think a lot of people just check the site on a daily basis for updates too. Everybody else just posts on tvs instead ^_^

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
