Is there someone out there willing to create a Zelda/Secret of Mana/Secret of Evermore-like engine?
The person who makes this will get 100% credit for the scripts. I could even add you to the game
im creating as a possible playable character. Also, you will be displayed in the credits section
for my game as one of the scripters. If you could make it easily user-customizable, i'd be even happier
(ie. adding comments, leaving lines between different routines.) I'd try scriptin' myself, but I dont
have the scripting knowledge :( . Even yet, i'd be TRULY grateful if you'd even be willing to add a script
to have the ability to jump. You out there! Help me if you please. Whoever you are, if you can at all help,
thanks.

Hmmm. . . sounds like something I could do in my spare time. What exactly are you looking for? SoM/SoE are both very different from Zelda, though at first glance you might not think so. Also, I'm no good with art, so if you wouldn't mind giving me CHRs, I'd be happy to help.

Do you have any past projects or work done on this one that you could show to us? I know before I'd want to help anyone I'd like to see if they're really willing/able to complete their projects.

On his Dragon Warrior Legend website not only will you find his amazing crafted unofficial entry to the Dragon Warrior series but also his attempt at a Secret of Mana style real time engine. I'm not sure how good it is cause DOS verge don't run on XP, but any SoM realtime engine is cool.
Strangely everybody is interested in this game immediately after my brothers have gone through a SoM playing frenzy at my house.
It is not wrong to not understand, for we are all ignorant, but neither is understanding pointless.

I meant to finish this at one time, but never did. And it was made at a time when my programming skills weren't too great...I could probably makes something much better now :D I could've sworn someone else made a SOM-style engine...

tried many times... but the stupid VCC said missing bracket... I worked on fixing it for several days but to no avail. (*sigh*). So, with no other choice, i backed up the few cool sprite-sets i had and sealed it away (aka. i trashed the files and began from scratch, AGAIN). Well, I have made a textbox and some other minor features for testing processes (like a palette adjuster that logs the data of the R,G,B,M and L of the screen for use with palettemorph(); tool ). Oh, and I tried making an FF3-style game by ripping scripts and stuff, but decided I needed scripting exp. But i've since noticed my weakness as a prog'er.
Just recently i found out that the Verge Source was the
maingrounds for messenging, not Verge-rpg. (figures, it had way more dl's). Im gonna try out that one SoM script and fix it up as good as i can. Or use the base ideas to make my own. If u can help me any more, just gimme a holler
--Thanks--
