OK, I've been programming games for years now... and NOW I just happen to stumble onto Verge! Great Idea!!!! I have only a few general questions (and yes I've read ALL the stuff on the site).

First, the type of game Verge is most useful at creating is RPG.... that's not a problem. My first question is does the engine support multi-player capabilities via TCP/IP? Or other networking protocols?

Second, I'm a big fan of open-ended RPG's. This doesn't mean that I would never write an RPG without a central plot, I just want the player to have a free will. If they don't want to slay that nasty dragon, then so be it... My question is how extensible is the engine when it comes to side quests and general fun things to do in the game besides a linear or semi linear conquest? Of course, this line of questioning may be moot since Verge isn't really the game itself... that would be my part of the process... nevermind I withdraw this question...

Finally, less of a question and more of a statement!!
MORE FILES!!!!!!! GIVE ME TUTORIALS!!!!!! GIVE ME BATTLE SYSTEM IDEAS!!!!! GIVE ME SOME DOCS!!!!! HAVE A NICE DAY!!!!!

Okay, here goes!

No networking stuff yet. Maybe later. ^_^

VERGE doesn't really limit your content at all. It can be as open ended as any RPG you coded with C++. (plot wise, that is)

The site just got an overhaul, you see, so stuff is still in the process of migration. In the meantime, there's plenty of files, tutorials, docs and the like at the VERGE Source. (www.vergesource.com)

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
