I remember back in 1997-1998 there was a ton of great Verge1 games out but most of those seem to have been lost in time... I remember Vecna had some KICK ASS pics of a game on his site, like the one with FF7-style handdrawn backgrounds (But to my knowledge, the person... Miko, I think... had to start again that game was never released)...
Whatever happened to these games? I know they are all dead, but what about the great Legend of the Slyph (My favorite - anyone still got this one?) and more. I was just wondering who, if anyone, had these games sitting on their hard drives.
Just a note: Breath of Fire II was better than Final Fantasy IV, V, VI, and VIII. This is an exclamation of personal taste, and not an attempt to start a flame war.

I have about 210 verge games and demos and tech demos I'm in the process of uploading to 3 fortunecity sites.
It's about 600 megs of verge stuff. The site and uploading should be done by next week. The new site will have about twice the stuff of the verge source.

The game that you are talking about with the good background is called fantasy realms. The site is located at www.fr-rpg.com. The project is now being done on sphere. It is currently in it's early beta stages. The demo is only available to testers; to my knowledge, they are no longer accepting testers.

... was the game he was referring to, and it never showed. All FR info, however, is likely correct, to my miniscule knowledge.

...on an old computer I had before I moved out on my own. Still there, but I have to get my mom to hook it back up, load 'em onto zip disks, and send 'em to me, 'cause I was too lazy to do it myself during Xmas break. Legend of the Sylph was among them. But don't hold your breath... I take forever at these things.
