I read through all the tutorial and most of this board. I seem to have the same kind of problem as J37 had. I put the dos4gw.exe file into my windows dir, and even copied it into the system32 and system dirs. I have Win2k so I didn't really know where to place it.

Neither Maped or Vcc works. I edited a user.cfg file and put basic commands in it.

Could it be that my Windows dir is located on my F: drive and not on my C: ?

Any help appreciated.

Are you using a DOS version of verge2? Don't. It doesn't like Win2k very much. Download the latest beta of WinV2 from this site. As long as you have DirectX 8+ or something it runs quite nicely, and doesn't require DOS4G/W.

Aside from that, the WinV2 version of Verge2 works essentially the same as the other versions, so you won't have to worry about incompatibility with tutorials, etc.
