much more human than anything ive done so far. i havent gotten the hang of all the effects n stuff. my tracks sound... bad. if only i could plug up my guitar or keyboard and have the stuff i play translated into a track. :o\

I listened to some Offspring to get ideas for
the drum lines in both songs, which helps a lot with
making it sound "human." Also, I didn't use any
effects but volume, cuz I don't really understand
them either :)
If your guitar or keyboard has a line in or MIDI
connector you could just record some samples of
different chords, loops, and stuff like that. That's
basically what I used (though I didn't record the
samples myself.)

Those are pretty good. It's really hard to follow the lyrics though. You might try adding a lyric track that at least provides the pitch and timing for the lyrics, although I'm Not Crazy isn't nearly as hard to follow as Away.
Other than that, nice work. I wish I could work a tracker, but I was raised on MIDI... :)
