I am getting incredibly frustrated with chrmak. I already managed to see that the frame limit on 70x70 chars was 80. I've compiled 70 frame characters just fine. Now, when I'm compiling only 66 frames, it garbles the last few frames for no reason at all. I triple-checked everything, including pcx colors, spacing, and mak file specifications and everything was fine. I can't take it any more. I need to talk to Aen, or somebody that can tell me how to manually build characters, or give me the source code so I can figure out a way to let me compile things without randomly and arbitrarily messing up my files!

Hrmm. Sounds like you're working, and that's the worst type of person to have frustrated. I'll see if I can find one of those 'or somebodys' that coded that thang to help.
(that'd be zeromus ;)
That's a rather impressive-sounding chr file. What kinda game you making here?

The game is sort of FF-esque, except that there is a pseudo-real-time melee system that we've added to create a lot of realism. There is also going to be a lot of strategy involved. It sounds super-ambitious, but it isn't particularly hard, just a lot of coding and animation, which my pal is doing. It would be best if we could just use one big sprite for a character.
P.S. I'll take a look at the source code, theGerf. Thanks for the info.
