I finally tore myself away from this amazing game long enough to post ;)

Anyway, the game is huge, looks beautiful, and is a blast to play. This is the best game on PC since Half-Life, and definitely in my top five games of all time. Trust me when I tell you to BUY THIS GAME.

Furthermore, it is an exercise in great game design and creative plot development, something I'm sure all of us aspiring game designers are interested in.

That is all.

nah - I'd rather save the bucks and get Neverwinter Nights when it finally hits the streets.

I work at Gamestop, so you can trust me when I tell you that NWN's current release date isn't until June 12. Furthermore, that's likely to get pushed another two to three months (that's strictly IMHO, however).

Trust me, DS is worth the fifty bucks (though a friend of mine claims he saw it for 29.99 at either CompUSA or Media Play, he couldn't remember which--I can't confirm or deny) It'll keep you occupied for the [at least] two month gap before NWN finally releases.

Furthermore, though I am a D&D fan myself (our store actually runs a "staff" campaign every Sunday night), I'm a little skeptical about NWN. Again, strictly IMHO.

Heck, buy it from Gamestop (or Software Etc, Babbages... they're all the same company!) and if you hate it you can still return it. Nowhere else in the world [that I know of] let's you return opened and played software like that. Give it a week. I promise, if you have any appreciation for good games AT ALL, you will love this game.

Chris Taylor is not paying me to say this ;P

That is all.

Yes. I've been playing it. Highly addictive. Much like Diablo, but also better (IMO). I expect Diablo III will be similar to this game.

I still think Neverwinter Nights will be better. :) But I'm a Dungeons and Dragons player, so I'm partial.

I've been playing it too. Isn't quite what I expected (its a very action-oriented game). But, it is sooooo awesome. The immersiveness of the world is much better than anything I've ever seen before. You actually get the feeling the the world is "alive". Can't wait for the Siege Editor to come out!
