I am wondering if the following effect is possible in V2.6 in 16-bit color, and how you do it:
I want to fade the "palette" from full-color (what it normally is) to GRAYSCALE. I don't want to change the luminosity, only the amount of color (saturation, I think?)
Any help would be much appreciated. It's for my game's battle system.

I believe palettemorph(); works but it's slow.

In my experience this has never worked right. Maybe I'm just stupid...?

In v2k+j and V2.6, Palettemorph works fine, just as if you actually had a palette to morph. I don't know how it can be used to achieve the affect you want tho... I have an idea of how a script for that would work, but it would be SLOW... :\
sorry I wasn't more helpful..
