I am using WinMapEdit 2.7 and when I make a tile it changes it to a comletely different color! I am getting really mad at this!! Can anyone help?!?!?! I hope so.

WinMapEd's tile editor sucks big time. I can't honestly suggest actually using it.

Instead, use any paint program that can save PNG files, (photoshop, PSP and GIMP can all do this) and import from the menu.

If you use Photoshop, you have to select "Save for Web" to get the Alpha (transparency) channel saved properly. PSP and GIMP have no problems.
