I know this has nothing to do with Verge, but I need as much help as possible.

The problem is that my cd-rom won't read cd's. When I try to use it, it says "E:\ is not accessible, device is not ready." And when the computer is booting up, I get a message saying something about MSC0001 or something like that not being found. PLEASE HELP ME?!?!?!

Off hand, I'd say it's busted. MSC0001 is probably an ID number for MSCDEX.exe, which is part of your DOS CD drivers. The fact that it isn't working in Windows either probably means it's broken. What happened, it just stopped working one day? I've had them die abruptly myself.
