I am reading through the fundamentals part 1, trying to learn to use Verge. It seems like a very interesting program with much potential, and I have been looking for a way to create an interactive environment for a very long time. I have downloaded some engine files, including the v2 executable and a few utilities, but I can no where on this site find some files which aen in his help page specificies that I need to properly run verge.

including: 'user.cfg' 'system.fnt' 'system.idx' 'system.vcs' and others.

If anyone could point me to a page where I could get access to these files I'd be appreciative.
thanks

Well, for system.idx and system.vcs, you don't need to worry about those. The VCC compiler makes them itself. As for user.cfg and system.fnt, you can grab them from any v2 demo. User.cfg you can modify to your own tastes (it's a simple text file which stores things like the video mode, sound settings, etc)

www.vergesource.com is always a good source for verge stuff (hence the name. ;)

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
