If anyone's interested, I have a bunch of other old Verge demos that I salvaged from my old computer last X-mas vacation... Some of which appear to be fairly rare, like:

'Last of the Sereno', which is famous for having a .mod version of "We will rock you" and a picture of the game's creator shooting lightning out of his middle fingers on the title screen.

Bwing : A very short gradius-style Verge game done in V1. (!)

Avernus: The classic game with a (short) cameo by Indiana Jones!

Lunar Z: Yes, it's a super-short never-to-be-worked-on-again Lunar/Dragonball Z crossover demo! I also have MabManZ's old DBZ game demo and another Lunar demo mostly of interest to almost nobody.

The tribute to Bahamut: Basically a one-map tribute to a Verger who died a while back. Features a .xm of 'Amazing Grace'

Glogger & Glogy's Quest: Two games featuring Blue Star's Glogy!

Copies of 'Lord of Ikuzo', 'Legend of the Sylph', and 'Beyond Eternity: Ascension': Other well known games (at the time) that just dropped off the charts later.

Utopia & Unnamed Demo: By Sharkey. Both have some neat (if now outdated by V2's very existence) code in them. And if all else fails, you can still get your jollies watching a palette-swapped Gau act like an utter freak and listening to Sharkey's voice 'sped up to chipmunk speed.' :)

One of the Jimmy Bong adventures: I think it's 'You Only Live Thrice'

Also:

'Pyro the Mage' 'Sayings of the Sybil' The first release of 'Curse of Dragmoria' *several* versions of 'The Quest for Atyre', at least one version of 'The Verge Shrine' *Two* versions of Nihilism13's old V1 Battle System, featuring The Roach, several versions of FireWarrior's V1 and V2 FF-style battle systems, 'SPODEO', 'Shitty Game', 'Shitty Game 2' , 'Vergespiracy', 'Rune', 'Deicide', 'The Shiny Sword', something in a folder titled 'Damndemo,' that is to my guess an old demo in which Darin gets very OOC and goes to hell. 'Army of End', 'Gods of Destiny', 'LIFE SK', 'Cerial's V2 demo', Bobbit's 'Escape', '2001', Lord Fruitiger's V1 Airship demo, Propaganda for the never-released 'Final Testament', 'Pikachu Killer', 'Lt. Ace', a whole bunch of games I know are still hanging around on the Verge Source or here, 'Merlin', Tarkuss's 'Xmas Files', at least 1.5 versions of 'Revelations' (The Xmas version is .5... ), a couple of versions of 'Meridian', (In which you are stuck on an island, but at least get to listen to the Verge classic 'Actinium's Got No Pants' .mod in one of them before an evil monkey formats your C drive...) and a bunch of stuff I can't even figure out from the folder titles!

All this, and Blimpo Warrior Columns Sprites! Sorry, no Zeta Project/Warrior. :)

Anyone interested in this (mostly V1 stuff and often only a couple of maps worth of demo...) enough that I should bother trying to upload it to one of the Verge sites?

I remember a lot of that stuff. A lot of it is REALLY old. I think it's worth uploading ALL of it somewhere :P Nihilism 13's battle system is probably one of the rarest files you listed.

Must have all this...
tell me, email, where to download, something!

oh, heck, I've got XP...no V2 games unless I fix 'em up.

The one with those propellar-slimes in a CT-like BS? I actually recall having that one eons ago, figured it was an older one. Thanks a bunch, you probably will have lots of requests soon. ;p

Some of those you listed are already on TVS, but there's a couple that you really need to upload. Legend of the Sylph and Revelation, for example.

It's indeed one of the files I salvaged.

I'm assuming that the e-mail address means you read it and want it sent anyway, tho', so I'm going to go zip it up right now. :)

So I'll see if I can't upload them. The main deal is that I still have no real webspace to call my own, so can't afford to just send a link. I actually have to ftp the files to someone who'd host 'em. I *think* tVS'll do that, (whereas the verge-rpg archive seems to mainly link to other pages) but they're down at the moment, so I'll probably delay for a while.

I'd just e-mail most files to interested parties, but the V1 stuff is mostly too bulky to do that efficiently.

As requested, I'll post a link as to where I've sent the files as soon as I've got 'em up.

Looks like I've got a place to put 'em after all. I'll post the link when they're up.

In case you haven't noticed, tVS is down.

That's quit a collection you've still got there GMW... I used to have a lot of those myself... Now I don't have any...

I odn' think I have any of my old V1 stuff anymore; all I have left is NtWQ and the nasty mess of what was BSO. And I'm rather afraid to look at either of those ever again (at least the source). It's amazing how much one can learn in a couple years.

Anyways, I dont' suppose you coudl send me my old V1 airship demo. I remember I did some fancy stuff with it and want to feel all nostalgic again. My e-mail address is scha6191@uidaho.edu. Thanks.
